Ferndown Christmas!

Christmas is coming! For some its a time of cheer, for others its a time of difficulty and hardship sadly. We want everyone in our area to know that we are thinking of them, that they matter and are a part of our community. We also want to share as much joy as possible to help ease any anxiety and raise the spirits of all. Christmas is a time of coming together and celebrating the season and the good things in life. Its been an incredibly tough year for many, yet there has undoubtedly been some positives, certainly this community and the way it has pulled together has been one of them. Lets do it again, the final push for 2020, and make Christmas the best it can be for people! Our schemes for spreading festive cheer and ways to donate or get involved are as follows:

Gift a Plant

We want to gift a plant to as many local isolated people as possible to spread a little festive cheer and remind them that we are thinking of them and they are very much a part of our great community.  It’s an incredibly tough time for those who are on their own.  You are welcome to purchase a plant via our website, or donate via Ferndown Florist who will be gift wrapping and arranging the plants for us.  Deadline for donations and nominations is 16th December. Our fab volunteers will be delivering these as close to Christmas as possible, and if you have someone in mind who is deserving, please let us know via email.  Plants cost £5.

Little Santa Sacks

HoHoHo!  Santa will be delivering little sacks of gifts to deserving children in our local area who will really appreciate a little something at this time.  We cant say what’s going to  be in the sacks (Santa never tells!) in case we spoil the surprise for children, but the gifts will all be lovely & useful items, and you are invited to purchase a sack from our website for a child at £15 each.  We are asking for money rather than gifts so that we can get all the same items, and arrange discounts where possible so that the children get as much as possible.  Business are also very welcome to donate and sponsor items or sacks, please get in touch via email.  We have lovely volunteers sewing sacks already! Deadline for donations is 11th December. Sacks cost £15.
